Why Mattress Recycling Matters

Every year in the United States, millions of mattresses end up discarded, taking up unnecessary space in landfills and contributing to environmental degradation. At Spring Back Nashville, we’re on a mission to change that.

Our innovative recycling model ensures that every mattress and box spring contributes to a cleaner, greener planet. But our impact goes beyond the environment; it supports meaningful job creation and community development.

Building Hope for Nashville

Our mission for 2024 is critical: to raise $600,000 for a bigger warehouse space! Your mattress donations have been overwhelming, and we urgently need more room in Nashville to handle the growing support for mattress recycling.

But it doesn’t stop there. Our long-term vision is to offer on-site transitional housing on the warehouse land, providing crucial support for our recovering SpringBack employees as they reintegrate into the workforce.

There are a few hurdles we are facing, and here’s how your donations can help!

Cost of Renting: We are currently renting a shared warehouse, and with inflation and the rate of our growth, we can’t stay much longer. Your donations would accelerate our ability to secure a new space to continue our growth at a positive rate.

Good for the Economy: Tennessee tax payers spend over 30K per year to house one inmate. Our goal is to transition these men into responsible productive members of our society and help keep them from returning to incarceration.

Cost of Warehouse: Securing a new space will cost $600,000. Every donation brings us one step closer to a world where every individual has the opportunity for a positive new beginning, surrounded by a community that cares.

Your Support Making an Impact Since 1998

1998 Isaiah58 Ministry Began

We have always believed in a relational approach to ministry, with Jesus being the ultimate answer. At the onset, this ministry was primarily weekly outreaches to the homeless and disenfranchised in Nashville, offering a meal, fellowship, and friendship. The consistency allowed us to get to know people at a deeper level. Thus, the idea of employing our friends and creating a self-sustainable business came to fruition.

2012 SpringBack Developed from Isaiah58

As a way to provide full time employment to some of our new friends. Through trial and error, we learned how to effectively tear apart mattresses and recycle almost 100% of the material. In doing so we realized that we could break down mattresses and build up lives.  While providing a safe working environment, we began teaching men the much needed vocational skills, life skills, and financial skills  necessary to be a productive responsible member of society.

2019 SpringBack is a Self-Supported Non-Profit

It is important for us to remain fully self-supported as a non-profit organization. 100% of donations go to providing a quality public service at a fair price and to create jobs for those in need.  We’ve served hundreds of local businesses and tens of thousands of residents, all while helping men transition away from homelessness.

The Power of Your Donations

Your donations don’t just stop at preserving our planet; they create opportunity, hope, and change for many individuals. Here are some of the remarkable outcomes we’ve achieved with your support:

  • Hundreds of New Jobs Created Since Inception: Providing stable employment opportunities for individuals overcoming adversity.
  • Over 500,000 Mattresses Recycled: Since inception, we have been able to prevent this much waste from entering the landfill.
  • Over 33 Million Pounds of Mattresses Recycled: Keeping middle Tennessee communities cleaner, decreasing the carbon footprint.

Donations-Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a tax write off?

Yes! Isaiah58 Inc. is a 501C3 Non-Profit organization, doing business as Spring Back Mattress Recycling. So, each dollar donated will be tax deductible. And we will provide an automatic receipt to your email, after your donation is submitted.

What will the money be used for?

Our daily operations are fully funded by our recycling efforts. The biggest challenge we face in today’s real estate market is warehouse space. In the past four years, our cost to rent warehouse space has gone up a staggering 800%. This number continues to rise every year. 100% of donations will go toward funding the down payment on a new warehouse, and land for SpringBack to build our own space.

How much donations are you trying to raise?

$600,000. equal to a 20% down payment on a $3,000,000 purchase. The required amount is necessary for us to buy land and build a cheap warehouse that is suitable for our growing needs.

How can I verify SpringBack's Non-profit History?

If you would like to donate but to make a large donation, you want more verification of who we are. For larger donors (5 figures or more) we are happy to provide direct access to our financial statements listed on the IRS.gov website, as far back as 2015.

Can I make a recurring contribution?

If you would like to contribute donations regularly, you can select this option in the donation form. You will see menu options asking if this is a one-time donation or recurring for a custom set period. Feel free to select whichever you are most comfortable with, and cancel at any time.
